KARST-9 — The Field Journal of Elias Voss
November 1987.
Elias Voss arrives at a remote underground facility to replace a missing maintenance operator. The pay is unusually generous. Alongside his duties in Auxiliary Systems, he carries a private assignment.
Find the missing man. Recover his records. Ask no questions about the research taking place below.
But something is wrong inside KARST-9.
Trains arrive before their departure is recorded. Voices carry through abandoned passages. Rooms listed as empty show signs of occupation.
As Voss investigates, routine maintenance records begin to reveal discrepancies that cannot be explained by faulty equipment alone. Restricted passages, unexplained activity and conflicting reports raise questions about the facility's true purpose.
Years earlier, a mistake in Voss's professional life cost someone his life. He knows the consequences of trusting an unverified reading. Inside KARST-9, he must decide which records to believe when the evidence before him tells a different story.
