Ambient Outpost

Every Ambient Outpost release starts with an idea. A secluded monumental landscape. A remote control room far from civilization. A massive empty facility with a story that is never fully explained. If you've ever imagined a place of your own, somewhere that doesn't exist anywhere else — AO ONE is where we bring it to life together. There is no existing scene to customize, no template and no soundtrack selected from the catalogue. We begin from scratch.

This is not simply about creating a custom video or image. It is about bringing the same attention, patience and obsession with detail that goes into my own productions to a place we create together. From the architecture and atmosphere to the smallest movements, distant lights, environmental sounds and subtle details that may only reveal themselves over time, every element is considered as part of the whole. You have my full creative attention throughout the process — from the first conversation to the final frame and the last note of music.

Through personal one-to-one video calls and ongoing communication, we develop the setting, architecture and story together. I translate our ideas into visual concepts, we review and refine them, then bring the final environment to life through extensive cinematic animation.

At the same time, I compose an entirely new 60-minute original Ambient Outpost score. You'll hear the music during its creation and we'll discuss its direction together before the final mix.

THE PROCESS OF AO ONE

01 — Project Direction

A personal 60-minute one-to-one video call to establish the setting, architecture, atmosphere, story, visual direction and sound.

02 — Visual Development

Two rounds of original visual concepts, each followed by a personal one-to-one video call review. Together, we refine the strongest direction until the final environment is established.

03 — Cinematic Animation

Extensive animation in the style of Silent Deep, Black Harbor and The Ice Wall — multiple layers of purposeful movement and environmental detail, not simply an animated still image. During a dedicated one-to-one video call, we review the scene together and define how the environment should come alive — from weather, water and machinery to screens, lighting and subtle atmospheric movement — before the final animation is produced.

04 — Original Score & Listening Sessions

A completely new 60-minute soundtrack, composed and produced for the project. In personal video calls, I stream directly from my production setup, so you can hear the evolving mix, ambience and pacing in real time. Together, we refine the musical direction before the final mix.

05 — Final Production

Visuals, animation, environmental sound design and original music are brought together and mastered as a complete cinematic 4K experience.
